About Tommy Tang
I'm a data scientist in Toronto working across biomedical computer vision, robotic vision, neuroimaging, and multimodal machine learning. My background in neuroscience and molecular genetics shapes how I design experiments, evaluate models, and communicate results.
I currently build semantic-segmentation and data-processing pipelines for electron-microscopy research. Previously, I developed vision systems for mobile robots and a diffusion-MRI connectomics workflow for pediatric brain-tumor research. Across those projects, I have learned to treat data quality, reproducibility, and deployment constraints as part of the model rather than as cleanup after training.
